A significant event has happened. The sort of event that will probably only happen on this scale once in your life. It was a pardigm shift for me. It turned my worldview upside down. My little brother Benji blocked one of my spikes in volleyball.
Ok, so I exaggerated a bit. However, trust me: It was quite startling. I’m sure it’s quite normal for older siblings to experience an event where a younger sibling beats you in a way you would have thought they never would be able to beat you. It kind of messes with the pecking order.

As a younger brother, i know the thrill of victory that comes with beating an older sibling. It brings an addrenaline rush, and for a moment, you feel you can conquer the world. However, soon after that landmark victory, it seems the older sibling (probly feeling threatened) rises to the challenge and completely obliterates my next attempt at victory.
O well. Now i can say, “I beat my brother!” (even if it is only once)

My sympathies are with you Hans. Being the oldest of 12 kids I know the feeling. My next youngest can now run the socks of me in distance running. After the first mile and a half he looked back and said “what you huffing so hard for?” I dropped out and he went on for another 10 miles.
And now as if that wasn’t enough my 13 year old brother just hit 6’ 2”. WAY to tall for someone his age.
I can still beat then both at wrestling so I should be safe for a little while… As long as they come at me only one at a time.
