I’m calling for a Huckabee-McCain ticket.
Here’re the results for Iowa so far:
Huckabee – 34%
Romney – 25%
Thompson – 14%
McCain – 13%
Paul – 10%
Giuliani – 4%
CNN, ABC, etc have called Iowa for Huckabee.
Here’s what ABC says:
McCain, who has been defended by Huckabee during recent attacks by Romney, made the first candidate statement after the announcement of Huckabee’s victory in Iowa. McCain congratulated Huckabee, and then took an apparent shot at Romney. “The lesson (of Iowa) is one, that you can’t buy an election in Iowa, and negative campaigns don’t work,” McCain said. “They don’t work there in Iowa and they don’t work here in New Hampshire.”
A Huckabee-McCain ticket would be perfect! A ticket with McCain would perfectly fill out Huckabee’s foreign policy and economic policy credentials. I would be highly, highly pumped about such a ticket.
Has anyone teamed up into a ticket before the end of the primaries? What would be the political dynamics of that? Would that combine their supporters?

When Reagan won in 1980 he had to put GHB on the ticket to mollify the Rockefeller Republicans (big money wall street)… Amazingly enough GHB went down in flames even after having like a 90% approval rating after the 1rst Gulf War, because he broke his “No New Taxes” pledge… typical rockefeller…
So now you have picked a Gov. famous for raising taxes… in Arkansas, and John McPain who voted twice against GWB’s tax cuts…..
If the MSM likes a Republican Candidate… it’s because he is really a Democrat, or a Democrat can easily beat him….

Huckabee McCain ticket is the only ticket that can defeat Obama. Look at the crosstabs at Rasmussen. McCain is the only Republican beating Obama, and after McCain, Huckabee is closest.
Huckabee is already now polling at #1 on the GOP side, which is remarkable considering that he came out of the blue. He will lose New Hamsphire, not because Iowa was an exceptional win (according to the media, because of evangelicals), but because New Hampshire is exceptional. Both McCain and Romney have had long operations there and built their base there years ago. They will obviously win because people made their commitments there long ago.
Huckabee is destined to win the nomination, and once the public sees him as much as they see Obama (Obama has certainly had an unfair advantage over Clinton because of the media love fest) after the primaries, the independents will shift to Huckabee, and he will also take a lot of Democrats. This will be the first time since the Reagan revolution that this happens.

Huckabee McCain IS the ticket for 2008. McCain can run in 2012 – after he champions the war.

I just woke up!! and, realized first the first time that Huckabee has the intellect, wisdom and PLAN to put the USA on the right road, HE is absolutely right about needing an INTEGRATED approach to connecting the dots with: heath, education, taxes/finances, immigration and foreign policies:>)
Let’s ALL start spreading the word and talking about a McCain-Huckabee ticket. President McCain and Vice-President Huckabee is EXACTLY what OUR country badly NEEDS!! thanks… PTL….cpm/pjm
ps… for the past 45 years, our GOVERNMENT/policies have been and currently are, the biggest DIVIDERs of our nation we the American People FACE!! This is another IMPORTANT topic for another moment.
