The whole of the magnificent square of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican

Lightpole, St. Peter’s, and the Obelisk

Pike and salute: the Vatican’s Swiss Guards

Pigeon sitting on St. Paul’s head

Cardinals exiting the high mass

In the square of the Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano, one of the many obelisks in Rome brought from Egypt

Some of the columns ringing the square

I forget the name of this place, but it’s just up the street from Roma Termini
My family got to Rome several days before the rest of the tour group did. This was our last day by ourselves.

The only post-processing done was on the HDR night shots where the sky was obviously very noisy and I Gaussian blurred it to remove noise.

Hi hans! I’m Donatella, I’m italian and I’m living in Rome! The name of the place you didn’t know what it was is Piazza della Repubblica, very close to Stazione Termini. Love your pics of my city!
I’m evangelical from Italian Baptist Church, bless you!
