The Hiding Place is opening at the Flag Theatre in Hutchinson, KS on Thursday the 25th. Included in the cast are my sisters Heidi and Kristi (pictured in the Hutchinson News photo) and Trippy Schrock (who is living with us). It looks like an incredible play and I’ll be quite sorry to miss it. I know my siblings (and Trippy) are going to do a stunning job.
“Hiding Place” includes a cast of 30-some members, most of whom are teenage or older, he said. There are about three young children cast in the play.
But Schrag stresses it is still a production for the family, with no inappropriate language. But a sense of violence does exist in the play, he said, as it must to carry forth the true story.
Still, the overall theme is not the violence, but forgiveness. The play covers 33 years, and there’s a real emphasis on the Christian faith throughout the play.
