What about the blatantly sexual reference to Palin…do you know what he’s saying?

Sorry, I’m not up on hip-hop culture. I missed it. My apologies. Could you point it out?

  • J Yoder Says:

It wasn’t a hip hop thing, but…I’m going to retract my statement.

It had seemed to me on the first viewing, that when he says “Sarah Palin and I are like this…on the issues” he was making an obscene gesture. The reverse “peace sign” — the knuckles facing out instead of in, can often signify…ahem…a woman’s vagina, because of the V-shape. However, after watching the clip ten times, I realize I probably read waaaay too much into this. Sorry.

One of the reasons I read sexual content into the gesture is because of the really weird sexualization of Sarah Palin — the Photoshop hatchet jobs, Hustler is making a “Nalin’ Palin” video, comments around the blogosphere about the “doability” of the Governor and her “sexy librarian” vibe. It’s creepy.

Yeah, I was thinking it was a bit hypocritical out of touch for this fine gentleman to be speaking about conservatives’ sexual innuendo considering the last several weeks’ deluge of obsession and rumors put out by the left.

Edited to change “hypocritical” to “out of touch”. As I reflected, unless Mr. Yoder were indeed an Obama supporter (a fact which I don’t know) it is quite incorrect to say such a comment is hypocritical. Even if he was an Obama supporter, as long as he did not join in leveling the silly smears against Palin, I still would have been incorrect in assigning the label “hypocritical”. Instead, I believe “out of touch” represents the situation in a fairer light to Mr. Yoder. Before we even look at such subtle specks of sawdust (which seem to disappear if we gaze at them long enough), it seems to me that we should pay heed to the giant plank of gang rape, pregnancy-faking, incest, etc that is banging Palin over the head ever day. To accuse a McCain-Palin supporter of using sexual innuendo seems to fit fairly closely my understanding of the phrase “out of touch”. I do, however, appreciate Mr. Yoder retracting that statement. That is to be commended.

I totally agree with what this man is saying. I am black and I am an ultra conserative and republican. I am a Christian and I have to atleast vote my conscious on abortion and same sex marriages. I have been tormented by other blacks my whole life for appearing “too white” when I was just being moral. I hate the way that the hip hop industry will say bad things about republicans, but the democrats will support hip hop and all of it’s lewdness and the lewdness that exist in Hollywood. I don’t want the “villiage” of liberalism and Hollywood raising my children. I just don’t get the democrats and the blacks who associate themselves with them. The democratic party is the biggest slave drivers of the modern world. They are enslaving many blacks in the mind more than any whites physcially ever did in this country.

Wow, Guppy, you get it. You really get it. My oldest son, 14, is bi-racial, and he is absolutely stunned at how many “Christians” are supporting Obama. Guppy, I will pray you could get your articulate message out. May God give you the strength to endure persecution for the sake of the Gospel.
